I have some quesitons about volunteering and what is involved so here are some of the responsibilities
The team manager is the head coach of the team. He/she is responsible for attending the evaluations and drafting their team. They are also responsible to chose their assistant coaches.
They are responsible for running practices for their teams and making all team decisions as far as rainouts, reschedules etc.
They are the main contact with the league on all league issues etc. They are responsible for game lineups and game writeups. They are responsible for any equipment that maybe issued to them as well.
Home games - provide coverage for the snack shack.
Away games- Lining the fields, closing up fields (if last game of day)
A team coach will be chosen by the manager to assist. Their responsibilities are usually coaching a base, doing the scorebook and helping out at practices.
A team parent can help out by being a contact person for the coach. They can help before the season starts with uniform handouts. A team parent could also do the scorebook for the coach and the game writeups. Some teams may organize an end of season party which would be something the team parent could do. Some teams may bring snacks to each game and a team parent could organize that with the other parents. The team parent could also be in charge of organizing the concession stand coverage for each home game.
